Your Perspective and Mine
For you,
Moments are so alike that your memory stores them as a blur.
Your diary of days is little better than chaos.
And thus you believe that the world is chaotic as well, but to me...
...every moment is defined and clear as a diamond.
To you,
Every ray of sunlight is just like another,
Like repeated words falling on deaf ears.
You take no notice anymore of the beauty of the sun, or its...
...brilliant shining white-like-heaven rays
Touching a glorious green world that is never the same
As it was the moment before!
Whenever you have dared to look into another person's eyes,
You knew them only as flat, dull pools of boredom,
Either green, or blue, or brown, but to me...
...the eyes are a blinding flash, shades of glinting deep,
Shimmering with the fire of the soul,
Glittering with the history of ages gone
And holding every color found in earth, sky, and sea.
Life to you is another green slip
Clutched in sweaty, nervous hands
And a pounding heart,
A burning need,
And eyes that see nothing,
Nothing more than greed, life is never...
...pure joy; another green slip tossed away
With a burst of laughter bright,
And a race through a green forest,
A swim in a crystal stream,
A prayer under its gleaming falls,
A smiling face,
And eyes that see only love...
Everywhere, there is love.
