The biggest sacrifices in my life have been made
To escape from the past I left behind.
Yet you who say you love me
Must always drag it back out into the open
To drown me in it,
You bring it so close that I get lost inside my own head
And flinch from your words like they are an iron
Threatening to brand me with my mistakes.
I scream through all your reasons
You take my future out of my sight
Until I agree to fit inside your mold
Although it is hardly my decision to make.
I just want to be perfect...
You make me want to be perfect...
