Mountain Vale
My heart lies in a mountain vale
With flowing waters cool,
Where times of day like seasons change
And cycles start anew.
Midday
Sunlight beams fall gently
On the little valley fair
With wind-blown fields and flowers bright
And scented springtime air.
Evening
Nighttime dampness settles
On silent forests deep
Where shadows fall on earthen floors
And daytime creatures sleep.
Sunrise
Dawn's rays touch the mountains
And fall on shining streams,
Birdsong fills the gleaming vale
Awakened from its dreams.
