Love
A rose is just a flower,
"I love you", just three words
Light is only energy,
Dark is just perceived.
Good is justa feeling,
Evil just a fear,
Earth is just a ball of rock,
And pain is just a tear.
Man is just a mass of cells,
Life is just a flash,
But in my heart, I believe
That love is more than that.
She wakes up every morning
Loving the sunrise and the air,
Loving her future and her dreams,
Loving learning, loving care.
It's not as hard as you think,
She can be as cynical as the next lone reed
Knocked flat by the winds of the world.
But love is a truth that she has learned,
It makes her stand up again, always,
And never be another lone reed's wind.
I set this task before you:
To learn what the word "love" means to you,
And live by it every day
So that when you stand with the setting sun,
You can love yourself for the things you've done.
