Harlow Lake
Here I am again, in the beautiful little cabin on Harlow Lake. Lots more people came last night – Ben and two of his friends from downstate (Aaron and Jody), Jamie and two boys, and a girl named Liz who has some connection with Ben. She kept very close to him. But I remember that when we talked on Friday night, he said he was “done with Lizs” (and I laughed and said I’m “done with Bens too”)…I wonder. She seems nice, but doesn’t say too much and almost seems uncomfortable with the situation. Maybe they have some things to talk about. We all went out of our way to be nice to her (but not too obviously), hoping it would help her feel more comfortable.
People are starting to move around. I’ve just been sitting here at the table listening to the rain and watching them sleep. It’s 9:15 now, and it seems that out here, I can’t sleep past 8:30 or so! Hehehe. Last night, Amy, Glen and I slept outside. We came inside when it started to rain on us. Wimps, I know, but I personally prefer to be dry if possible. :) I think I could really learn a lot by being out here for an extended period of time.
I told the Demon and the Hair story last night by the fire. People really liked it. I think I’m getting better at telling it (still not as good as Tom Brown, though). We had some good conversation – Aaron, Glen and I talked ablout religion and beliefs for quite awhile. It was good. Ben just laughed – oh my gosh! He’s been so serious. I wonder if he’s always like that? I’m riding home with him and Glen for Thanksgiving. That will be one fun trip!
Liz just told me I remind her of one of her friends who has short hair (a good thing hehe – I checked). Ok, we’re packing up to go now – later gator. :)
